Once more, we deeply apologize for the long delay in getting our Kickstarter project out. We are still shipping as fast as we can, but please be patient as this week we have lost two valuable and beloved members of our family and are currently having to take care of matters we did not anticipate. Shipping this week will be slow, but we should be back up and running next week which is why we're doing this update. We wanted everyone to know why shipping has slowed down this week.
We will do another update when we take the last batch of Volumes 3 & 4 to the post office. Please rest assured that even without an update in the interim, we are shipping every day, weather permitting and will be back up to speed after this weekend.
Please rest assured that when your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number in the email you used to back the project. If you haven't received this email that means that you are still in the queue to have your order shipped.

Please note that we are doing our absolute best to get everything out to our wonderful backers as fast as possible and we deeply appreciate your patience as we go through this incredibly hard time. We know how long it's been and never anticipated life and weather tackling us this hard. But we will make sure everything gets out to you just as soon as we can. And be assured that if you don't hear from us, we are still working on the project and are shipping as fast as we can.
That being said, we do want to let y'all know about two Kickstarter projects that are NOT being done by us. These are separate companies who have a much, much larger team to run their campaigns and do fulfillment.
This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of when Born of Night was first published. To celebrate the thirty year mark, my publisher will be doing their own Kickstarter for the Andarion-Human twins in a beautiful matching hardcover set. If they hit their stretch goal, they will release a never before published short story about Thia that I wrote years ago (it was supposed to be the follow up book in the 1990s after Paradise City was released). Again, my publisher is the one doing this Kickstarter, not us. They will be handling all aspects of it, including fulfillment, and they're only offering this for three weeks. The other Kickstarter is being done by Lixandria who paused their February campaign. After getting a lot of fan feedback, they decided they wanted more time to fine tune and revamp their app to make it more interactive with users. This is going to be even more epic and they plan to relaunch their "Storyverse" campaign this coming May. It's a role-player or fanfic writer's dream come true and has even more options than what they were planning. Final Update Until Last of Vols 3 & 4 Have Shipped

Again, we apologize deeply for the long delay in getting our Kickstarter project out. Please note that when Vols 1 & 2 went out, it was spring and summer. The books this year came in right before the holidays. In addition to holidays, we've been hit with hurricanes, fires and other natural disasters that have caused delays in shipping. In Canada, there was a postal strike and our carrier wouldn't receive packages shipped to Canada until after the strike ended, and even a few weeks thereafter as they were backlogged. Here, in our own hometown, our post office has been shut down twice for several days each time because of winter weather.
In spite of all that, we are still shipping Volumes 3 & 4 to backers. To help facilitate the shipping, we are not going to post any more updates until we ship the last batch of these volumes as the update will not change--we are working on shipping the books out.
We will do an update when that last batch is received by the post office. Please rest assured that even without an update, we are shipping every day, weather permitting.
When your order ships, you will receive an email with your tracking number in the email you used to back the project. If you haven't received this email, you are still in the queue to have your order shipped. If you're just receiving bookmarks & cards without books, those are going out first class and there is no tracking number for them. You will receive an email, but there won't be a tracking number.

Please understand that the update this month is basically the same as November: we are asking a huge favor from our Kickstarter backers. Please know that we are in the middle of shipping out Volumes 3 & 4 as fast as possible, but it is the holidays and there is a postal strike in Canada so shipments could be delayed by the postal services. You will be emailed when your volumes ship so you don't need to email and ask us if your volumes have been shipped. We know everyone is excited and we appreciate how eager everyone is to get their books, but we are being inundated with backers asking about their orders and we're having to spend hours every day just answering emails instead of shipping books.
We know everyone would much rather we spend our time shipping books than answering emails to say that we are doing our best to get the books out to the backers as fast as possible :) So please, only email us if you have an address change (and please include your new address in the first email that you send to [email protected]) or email us at [email protected] if you have a problem with your order.

Please note that those of you in the Hurricane Helene affected areas, we are aware of the horrible tragedy all of you are dealing with, and you are all in our prayers. The last thing we want is to add to your stress. To protect your books and to make sure they aren't damaged we want to reassure you that we are doing out best to monitor the situation. If you or someone you know is in an area where you won't be able to receive your order for a while or you need a different shipping address, please contact us and let us know. Please be safe and take care of yourselves.
For those not affected, we are shipping Volumes 3 & 4 as fast as we can. Please bear with us as we get the books out. It will take us time, but we are dedicated.
Book 5 (Synergy) won't begin shipping until we finish Volumes 3 & 4.
