Dear Backers,
It has come to my attention that several people (it’s always the same names) have been intentionally posting false information and accusations on various social sites in an attempt to interfere with our fulfillment and business.
We’ve noticed that this same group stirs up trouble and dissension every time something legal is going on behind the scenes, or whenever we begin to promote Sherrilyn’s new books, or when Sherrilyn makes an appearance to promote her books. They use normal author activities as a means to smear Sherrilyn’s reputation and make false accusations against her and us. Please do not let them pull you into their angry lives. People are free to post their opinions and anything else they want online, we are not trying to infringe on their rights, but please realize that these same folks are instigators whose only intention is to upset the true fans and cause trouble for everyone.
We have spent the last few years in court dealing with some of these instigators whom we know for a fact are writing attacks in an effort to get things to be used in court to harm Sherrilyn and to keep her from writing the books her fans want to read. Please do not help them.
Be assured we are continuing to ship Kickstarter Volumes 3 & 4 as fast as we are able. We’ve been hampered this past year because of ongoing litigation where we have all spent a lot of time in court and having to pull information for the lawsuits and meet with attorneys, all of which took a great deal of time from our work. The matters in Georgia are over (we hope), but there is still ongoing litigation in Tennessee.
Even though there is a court order that prevents a certain group from monitoring and interacting with Sherrilyn’s social media accounts, her fans, and/or live events, we know for a fact that they are violating it for no other reason than to interfere with Sherrilyn’s career, and her relationship with her fans, agents and publishers. The last thing we want is for this group to harass fans or have the FBI show up on a fan’s doorstep over an innocent comment as has happened in the past, so we have chosen to say as little as possible for everyone’s protection. Please do not respond to any post with hatred as that is what they’re hoping to get so that they can use it to cause more harm.
We are all tired of their nonsense and being pulled into court for frivolous reasons. Please understand if we’re not posting regular updates, it’s because every little thing posted may be pulled out of context and used to harm all of us.
Another reason is there are simply no new updates to post. We are shipping as fast as we can. That has not changed. Whenever we post new updates, it slows shipping exponentially as we get bombarded by emails and comments that we then have to stop and investigate. We have found these are from the same small group of backers and non-backers that consistently harass us and post online trying to anger others who are patiently waiting. The vast majority of you are wonderful and we appreciate the understanding, patience and continued support as we work weekends, holidays and after hours to ship.
When we ship the last orders for volumes 3 & 4, we will gladly post that for everyone to see. Believe me when I say no one wants that day to come any faster than we do as we are all living this process every single day.
Until you see an update saying these volumes have finished shipping (and it will be a big post on all sites so that it’s not missed) be assured, we are diligently working on them. We will not list individual volumes for sale until all the pre-orders are completed.
We will answer questions about volume 5 after the orders for the original four are completed.
As for the tarot project: Because of the court matters that ate up most of last year and that have leaked into this year as well, we haven’t had the time to gather all materials to hand it over to the new fulfillment company. We are still in the process of doing that and hope to have it so that they can begin shipping by this summer.
Please help us get the books and cards shipped out as quickly as possible by allowing us to continue working without answering the same questions and comments repeatedly. Only email us directly ([email protected]) if you need to update your mailing address and please let us know when it changes–do not correct it yourself as it needs to be updated in places you can’t access. Each correction has to be made by us in the fulfillment systems.
Whenever you contact us, be sure to include the name and email address you used on your pledge, which project you are referring to along with your old mailing address and new address. Be aware we are communicating with tens of thousands of people. If you do not send your identifying information in your emails, we must spend time researching who you are and what project you are referring to and that drastically slows down our shipping.
One last thing to remember. We are a small staff. We admit we bit off more than we could chew in our efforts to bring you the products fans had been begging for and wanting. The last thing we expected was the years of harassment and legal battles that would ensue over what we thought would be easy projects.
To those who have been patient and who have defended us because you see the truth, we cannot thank you enough. Your support has been invaluable to us and we deeply appreciate it.
Please be aware that these intentional, targeted attacks by a certain group have taken a great toll on the books that the readers are waiting for. This is why there are no new release dates for any Dark-Hunter or League books even though Sherrilyn has handed in completed books to her publisher.
While Sherrilyn negotiates for the future publication rights for the Dark-Hunters and League series, we ask that fans not attack or contact her publisher as we do not want to damage or interfere with those negotiations.
Until this matter is cleared up and she is again free to continue writing her Dark-Hunters and League series, she is publishing other books/series. Please check out the upcoming Infernal Affairs and the latest release in her Myths & Outlaws trilogy as well as the Eve of Destruction books. The Nick Chronicles are still being published and the final book of that series will be out early 2027. Due to the ongoing legal issues, many details cannot be shared. We appreciate your concerns, but we are not always able to answer.
We know everyone who backed these projects is eager to get them in their hands as soon as possible and we want nothing more than to get them to you. We deeply apologize for the time it has taken to fulfill these projects. We’re not trying to make excuses, we are only trying to keep everyone informed as best we can without it interfering with the lawsuits or slowing down fulfillment. Please bear with us. We are all doing our best to bring to Sherrilyn’s fans and readers the books and products everyone is wanting.

PS Please note: If you do not respond to the USPS or your Country’s Postal Service to pick up your package or arrange for it to be redelivered, sadly, we will not be able to cover the costs to re-mail or replace.
If it is returned to us in good condition, we will notify you and you can pay for us to remail it. If it is marked to be returned to us and it is kept or lost by Customs on that return journey, you will have a chance to purchase replacement volumes when we list the remaining copies. In the Customs process it is often routine for packages to “disappear” when being returned to sender. So if you receive notice, please make sure to arrange with your postal carrier to have the books delivered to your home. If it made it to you and you did not pick it up, please be aware that we are unable to send more books to you for free.

Since so many of you have been demanding to know what’s going on, I would ask that you visit my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/mysherrilyn or see my newsletter when I post it in the next couple of days for the full details.
The short version is this: For almost five years now, my ex has been suing me in two states in an effort to interfere with and ruin my business and in an effort to get at the Kickstarter money that we need in order to fulfill your orders. Not the net profits, he is after a chunk of the gross.
The good news is, here in the state of Georgia, my ex didn’t get the almost two million dollars he was suing me for. The judge awarded him a single dollar bill. He didn’t even get his filing fees or attorney fees. Only one dollar, which says it all about the merits of his claims.
Behind the scenes, my staff and I have been dealing with this matter for almost half a decade. This is one of the biggest reasons fulfillment has been slow and why I couldn’t talk about it. We (meaning my entire staff and family) have spent weeks and months at a time preparing for court or being in court (in two states). All of us. We’ve had to gather evidence, talk to lawyers, etc. And sadly, we can’t fulfill orders when we’re tied up in a courthouse for twelve hours at a time, for days on end.
One of the cases just ended, but we still have the one in Tennessee that is ongoing. That is one of the biggest reasons why the tarot card fulfillment has been handed off to another company. They are in the process of getting everything set up and are hoping to begin fulfillment no later than next February. Hopefully sooner. But they are doing quality control to make sure everyone is happy with their products.
I am so incredibly sorry for all this. When we ran the campaigns, I had no idea what I was unleashing in terms of the harassment we’ve been dealing with over the last few years. It’s not an excuse, it’s the reason why this has taken so long to fulfill and why I haven’t been able to talk about it.
As for the Ash/Styxx books, the same thing. We cannot ship while we’re sitting in court. Now that the one case has ended, it finally frees up some time for us. Please give my staff until Thursday to recover from DragonCon (the Georgia verdict came in as we were leaving for it) and we will begin shipping again. Once I have enough room in my house for Volume 5, we will put the order in and then we will begin shipping it out to backers.
My publisher’s campaign for the League books is still on course and should be shipping on time.
Again, I am extremely sorry for all the delays. No one is more frustrated or disappointed with how long this has been than we are. When we set out on this journey to do projects I knew would make my readers happy, I had no idea how much it would rile my gremlin or that it would be years I’d have to spend in court, again, battling him for money he knows he’s not entitled to.

We have a quick note to our Canadian backers. Please keep an eye out for your shipped packages (and the email alerting you to this) and make sure to track your orders from the time you receive notification that we've shipped your books. The Canadian post will only hold books for 10-15 days before they return them to us. If a package of books is returned, those will incur addition shipping charges. It can take up to six months or longer for us to receive your books before we'll be able to reship it (if it doesn't get lost and if customs doesn't return it). We want everyone to receive their books as soon as possible, so please open any emails from Acutane, Backerkit, and/or Shipstation. Those are the emails that will have your tracking information.
We have been very busy fulfilling as many orders as we can and we hope to have them all out to backers soon. Once we ship the last of Volumes 3 & 4, we will being posting updates for Volume 5 (Synergy).
If you have recently moved and need to update your address, please email us: [email protected] We ask that backers only email us with address information or problems with an order that has already been shipped. Please do not email us to ask if or when your order will be shipped as answering those emails slows us down every day. An email will be sent to notify each backer when there books go out.
If you receive notice that your package has been delivered and you can't find it, please contact your local postal service as soon as possible to they can track it down. Your local postal service is the only one able to find that package and they need to know immediately if it was misdelivered.
Again, we thank everyone for your patience. This has been quite the learning curve for all of us. But please know that we are working every day as hard and fast as we can to get the books into everyone's eager hands.

Taking a moment to clarify. Please be aware that we are still shipping the hardback editions of volumes 3 & 4. We still have several thousand more of them to ship out. If you haven't received a notice that your hardbacks have shipped it means that you are still in the shipping queue with other orders waiting to be fulfilled. We will post an update when the final order is shipped. Until then, please don't email asking if your order has shipped as it is slowing down fulfillment exponentially everyday as we are having to spend hours responding to backers to say that we are still shipping books to backers. Please only email us if you need to update your shipping address.
If you do need to update your shipping address, please include your backer number and the email you used to back the campaign as well as include the new address you need the books shipped to as having to ask for that information is also slowing down fulfillment. Once we have shipped all of volumes 3 &4 out to backers, then we will turn out attention to volume 5 (Synergy) and we will begin posting updates for that.

We will be mailing out the last of the TRADE 3 & 4 volumes this week and all the swag items have been mailed. We still have a couple of thousand Vol 3 & 4 hardbacks to ship and we're still working on those. Once the final hardbacks for 3 & 4 are shipped, we will notify backers.
