Where are my books? Updated 12/1/23
We have shipped Volumes 1 and 2 and the ebook links for those volumes are on your order page. If you make a purchase going forward from today, you will receive the first 2 Volumes now. We are still working on Volumes 3, 4 and 5 and expect them to be ready sometime in 2024. There have been delays we did not expect. All of the Mystery boxes have been mailed. The items in the last 3 boxes were mailed together to get them in you hands before the holidays.

Can I get a refund or cancel my order? Updated 5/16/23
At this point in our project it is too late to cancel or issue a refund on pre-orders from Kickstarter that have had the payment processed. There are NO refunds on digital items after they have been delivered. We are not able to monitor all incoming orders, please be sure you are not placing a duplicate order. New Backerkit orders and duplicate orders, will be assessed a 25% processing fee if asked to cancel after the charge is placed. Once they begin shipping, no refund will be available.

Who pays VAT and IOSS?
Backers are responsible for VAT, IOSS or any other taxes/fees unique to their country.

USPS says my package was delivered. I don't see it. What do I do?
We send you an email with a USPS tracking number so you can keep a watch out for your packages. When the USPS marks a package delivered and you do not have it, you need to contact your actual postal carrier and your local post office the very next day so they can see if the driver remembers where they left it and recover it. You can get your local post office to reimburse you directly for a package they mis-delivered and cannot get back. We understand your frustration, but monitoring your deliveries is your responsibility. We are a very small company and unlike Amazon or Walmart we cannot afford to reship packages that have been “delivered”, we are also not responsible for “porch pirates” in your area. Be sure you provide us with a secure address for mailing your items.

Where are my books? Updated 5/16/23
We have posted constant updates on Kickstarter, FaceBook, Youtube, and in Sherrilyn’s newsletter on the progress of the books. It will take us several weeks to unpack the books, have them signed, pack the orders, ship the orders, and carry the packages to the post office. They are being processed in waves as fast as we can by our small family staff. You will receive an email with tracking numbers when your books ship. Thank you for supporting our project and for your patience while we prepare the orders.

Emails started going out on 5/3/23 with the link to your first two volumes. Did you check your Spam and Deleted folders? If you can’t find the email, you can access it from your Backerkit Survey Link.

I'm having trouble downloading my ebooks to my Kindle.
If you are having issues downloading your ebooks, please see the update we posted on Kickstarter. Amazon just recently updated the Kindle to read epub files. What if I move before you ship my items?
If you move before all the items are shipped over 2023 and 2024 you will be able to update your mailing address. Email your old and new address to [email protected] and we will make the update for you. You must contact us directly, we are not responsible if your order has been generated to be filled and you update the address yourself on Kickstarter or Backerkit. Last minute changes will not be updated in all the necessary files.

Is my payment going to come out immediately? Updated 5/16/23
The Kickstarter pledges were collected in 2022. If your original pledge failed and you did not update your credit card in Backerkit, then your order was canceled. All new orders as of today will have the credit cards processed within a week of placement. Then your order will join the queue behind the thousands of pre-orders we are currently mailing.

Will I be able to get the t-shirts in my size?
At the end of the campaign, a survey will be sent to those backers who ordered Paladin boxes. We will ask for your size then. Sizes choices will be adult Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. We do not know what will be in the boxes yet, this is in case a t-shirt is included for that month. Not every month will contain a t-shirt.

Can I read the eBook on my device?
When the ebooks are published, you will be sent a link to your email and you will be able to download the ebook in the format needed for your device. The files will come as epubs and all readers/vendors are now taking epubs. For those with kindle devices, use the email you most often use, and later, if you need to, you can forward it to your own kindle address. If you use your kindle email, you won’t get our correspondences.

Why can't I order the Slip Case for the books?
The slip case was a Stretch Goal that was not met on KickStarter. We are looking into having them made in the future, but until we have an exact count of how many we will need and see how much money is raised, we can’t price them out. We hope to offer them at a later date.

I thought I would get the 5th volume free with my pledge?
The 5th volume was never offered for free with any pledge level. It was at one time listed as a Stretch Goal if $3.5 million was raised. As we did not look like we were going to reach that goal many fans requested if they could just buy it instead. We decided to remove it from the Stretch Goals and add it as an add-on to purchase.

Can I get my books personalized?
Sherrilyn will be signing each and every physical book by hand, but we are just not able to offer personal messages or personalized names because of the tremendous amount of books this would involve. We would never be able to get them all signed and mailed out if we tried to do this.

How much new content will there be?
Sherri is anticipating at least 75 pages (or more) per edition for a total of 300 new pages, which is the size of an additional novel from most authors. Please keep in mind that Sherri hasn’t added the content yet and is estimating the new scenes she wants to add.
If we meet our stretch goal, every back who has chosen a hardback option (or ebook) will receive a FIFTH volume for free. That volume will be a complete novel and it will reveal the long-awaited answer of WHO IS ACHERON’S FATHER :)

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
